It’s about that time again…to update your bookmarks, to http://wr0d.com
So yes, I decided on what I want my domain name to be, and because of who I am and where I work, I now have my own domain! It won’t look as pretty as this site for a little bit, but I will be working on it a lot. It will also serve as a testing ground for testing stuff for work.

Well, I finally ordered myself a man’s razor. [link]
I am still getting used to shaving with it, but since I have only used it once, that’s ok. It weighs a lot, and is significantly heavier than my old Mach3. Oh, and when you can get 100 blades for $16! Yeah, that’s awesome!
I also saw Clerks II last night. A better showing from Kevin Smith than his past few movies, most of which I haven’t seen. And Rosario Dawson was well hot. And some very good jokes. And the lovable crass humor was much more well done than perhaps even Dogma. I can’t help but think about how cool it would be to meet a girl that can converse like Ms. Dawson did in Clerks II.
Oh, and my boss told me recently that he wants me to take onsome of the web hosting stuff, so I may be moving this whole blog thing to its own site. I am still deciding on a name. Suggestions?
I just wantd to keep up appearances by keeping people up to date.

Here’s the thing about lies…or at least good a good lie is like a synthetic truth.

Spoilage Warning.
I saw Jesus Returns…errr…Superman Returns. For serious, some things just screemed, “Christ-like-figure,” especially when Superman starts falling back to Earth and makes a pose like he’s been pitched on a cross, dies, descends to Earth, and on the third day rises again after being visited by Mary…errr…Mary Jane, wait, Lois Lane. Well, they don’t tell you how many days it was. Oh, and that things about how Marlin Brando says that Superman is his only son, etc.
OK, end spoilage.
Then there was the car ride back. Gareth got thirsty, so we stopped at the gas station. I pop out of the car only to notice a truck spewing gasoline on the ground. Lickity-split I dash over to the truck, and without getting one drop of gas on me, I manage to stop the further gratuitus waste of gas. From there I seek out the owner of the truck. What’s he doing? Buying junk food. I say, “Sir, is that your truck outside? If it is, then a lot of gas was just wasted from overflowing.”
“Oh really?” He replies. “How much gas?”
“Probably over two gallons.”
“Oh, ok.”
He then proceeded to pick and choose between the temping candy bar or soda-pop(which I guess is a heafty choice). Meanwhile Gareth has told the gas station employee about what had happened and suggested that someone, *anyone* be called to take care of the situation. Laughter ensues, but not by Gareth.
Grim, real grim. Yet, in the same situation, I would have done the exact same thing.
I did get to eat at Famous Dave’s though, and Superman was entertaining. Kevin Spacy did do quite a good job of bringing the movie to life. And I got paid, so it has been an interesting day, a good day.

It’s supposed to storm here shortly. I love thunderstorms, in all their fury. I find them very peaceful. I can’t explain why exactly this is the case…but it is. The crashes of thunder, the flash of the lightning, the rain, very intense, but very calming. I can’t wait for it to start! It was one of the things that I missed deeply during my stint in the desert. Am I alone in this?

Click here to view the pics.
I am a schmuck for not saving anything else from this project…though I still have all my origonal sketch book from the project. I want to recreate it…only larger!

You can either download the Microsoft Word document, or you can just click below to see the whole thing.
uber-cd.doc
So, this is the music that I was listening to on my way back from Las Vegas driving to Minnesota. Did I mention that I didn’t even get through the whole thing on the first day after driving for probably 10 hours? I got phone calls and stuff(thanks Erik & Gareth!)
Oh, and obviously if you are going to try to reconstruct this for yourself, it should all be done legally!
And there was something else I was going to mention, but whatever. Wait, actually, I had claimed to Erik that no artist or group is repeated more than three times…but there are possibly two exceptions, but perhaps only one. They Might Be Giants for sure, but one song is in Greek, and another I had intended as a segueway. The other would be the Beastie Boys, and for the same reason(look for the shortest possible songs by each(Fingertips & The Blue Nun…I think)).
UPDATE: 6 songs by They Might Be Giants. Why? Well, the afore mentioned reason. Next, there are two songs, James K. Polk and Meet James Ensor. I have both of those on there for educational purposes! Cuz, dammit, people need to learn, and I is here to teach. Oh man, it’s difficult to use such poor grammar even in jest.
Enjoy!

Well, I found myself a job doing computer repair plus other responsibilities. It’s a smallish type computer repair outfit, and for the time bring it doesn’t pay so much, but that will change after a short introductary period. But I am happy, because not only will I get to tinker with gadgets, I will also get to handle a lot of the marketing and advertising aspects of the business. It’ll be splendid thinks I!
In other news, I got to be in a parade promoting my friend’s father as he runs for state representative. A small parade, but it was good fun. Obviously the parade was in celebration of our nations independance from Britan(I’m sure many other nations celebrate the same thing from the same empire, yeah?)
Oh, I also saw Jack Black in, Nacho Libre. I have not laughed that hard in a theater in a very long time! Granted, a few parts were a bit slow, but the funny parts more than made up for it. Who knew that Nickelodeon could put out something that funny, but they did, and how!
And not to forget, I am going to try to write some songs lyrics about the ghost of a man seeking revenge on the god of irony for the man’s wrongful(yet amusing) death. I haven’t gotten past the initial concept. I am also still working on getting my song list for the uber-CD put up. There isn’t any simple way of doing this…yet. I may have to go in and make my own program to do it for me.

Things have slowed down a fair amount since coming back to MN…or so it seems. But it’s not so bad. It’s nice to see trees and things growing. A very nice change from the desert(not dessert). Being able to see the stars is mighty nce. That I really enjoy. Even in town here, yeah, that’s grand to be able to see the stars.
Been watching HBO’s Rome & Deadwood. Interesting enough. Both show how brutal the times could be. Both fairly historically accurate, which adds a nice…twist I suppose you could say.
Also still looking for work and a place to stay. Not too much thus far, with both ventures. Persistance is key.
